The Baby God Holds/ A Baby Was Born is a children’s book addressing miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant loss as well as grief and eternity from a Chrisitian perspective. It is an attempt to nurture sound theology around this experience, written in a simple way a child can understand. This is a tool for families who have experienced the loss of a child in early pregancy, have experienced a stillbirth or lost a child in early infancy. We as Christians acknowledge the life of a child begins at conception, this story is a small way to honour and acknowledge those little lives who went to be with the Lord sooner than expected. The loss of a child is an extremely complex, sad and difficult loss to process as a parent, but this grief is also experienced by siblings, cousins or friends who may have known about the pregnancy.
